As North East Lincs official 1st ride out the attendance was very good with 16 bikes and 20 people, Kit and even the sun came out to see us off!! Dave Brown did an excellent job of organising things and everything went off like clockwork.

The ride there was great and most people stayed together which always makes the ride more enjoyable. Dave Brown led the pack with Riff-Raff and Ejnar (with Trish as pillion) following closely behind. As we approached Skegness the pack had split slightly with most turning left upon arrival and a few turning right. A few garbled phone calls from Noel, blank stares from Riff-Raff and a clock tower later and the pack was reunited!! Hurrah!

As bellies were rumbling more than the Harleys amongst us, fish and chips were soon accosted and we ate them down whole heartedly with 12 dozen fags each to wash them down with. Next on the agenda was alcohol although not in the amounts that most amongst us can get through. The Mariner was most welcoming and allowed us all the alcohol we required, although I do believe that their toilets got more abuse than the beer! Thank God Fergus was not amongst us with his veritable bowl shudders! The Jolly Fisherman would most certainly become the Frowning Fisherman and it would not be the fish that was off!!

The police were out in force with both unmarked cars and bikes ensuring that everyone enjoyed themselves without the interference of the usual prat/boy racer/chav that tend to inflict themselves on seaside towns during the remarkably sunny weather.

Next in line was the Log Flume, Paul seemed to enjoy the proceedings more than a man off his age is supposed to and was most embarrassing to all, that is until Chrissy decided to join him and almost ran to get the front seat. The remainder off the group decided against the log flume as it’s no fun ridding home with a soggy backside as Chrissy was sure to find out.

The ride home went steadily enough until Mick took a roundabout a bit on the quick side and his silencer came unstuck. With the speed and agility that would put the AA to shame things were bolted back up and away we went. Riff-Raff left the pack to head for Immingham whilst the rest split into two groups with some heading off to Willingham Woods to finish the evening off.

Until Next Time – Riff-Raff
