Jane's column in the latest edition of The Road reflected on the problems which have hit some events this year. The loss of events such as the GWR and Stormin' due to torrential rain in each case has been a concern, the news of turmoil in the world financial system and the effect that might have on our members has been much on everyone's mind.
Here at Central we have trying to conserve as much cash as possible. We already knew that Yorkshire region were sending us the most they could and that they have been thinking very creatively about how to make the most of next years events knowing that there may not be as much money in people's pockets as there has been, it seems they are not the only one's who are determined not to let the bad news beat us.
Although The Road has only just hit people's doormats, we are already seeing donations arrive at Central.
Colin Ives has once again come-up trumps with £1,000 We also received a cheque for £1,300 from Bury St Edmunds MAG, the proceeds from their Moo summer rally Middlesbrough MAG sent us £10,000 from the Number One Rally, they have dug deep in to reserves to give us all the help they can when we need it.
It's days like this that remind us just how much spirit there is in MAG, and what a privilege it is to be part of it.
